St. Rosalia dolorosa

There is a sad monument of St. Rosalia (see the other post for a picture) as a memorial to more than hundred people killed by Germans in 1944 in a nice town Skalbmierz. Among them some children of the age 2,5-5 years.

I still cannot understand those soldiers bringing death just from their shops in Baden-Baden, groceries in Munich, cornfields near Berlin.

“Hello, babe, I’m going to war to Poland, I’ll write you, I promise!”. And then he kills a three year old boy, just because, it’s war, you know…
